As soon as the transmission warning light comes on and the system enters limp mode, it will store one or several relevant fault codes we can read out with a capable scanner. Ok if possible send me the exact codes. The mechanic already replaced both external parts. If the issue persists and we have the same codes we are either looking at a mechanical restriction on the system or a electrical issue with the control& activation of the system.

I know but the mechanic won t open again till the 4th of Jan so I am stuck

At this point further exact troubleshooting needs to be done. This will prevent us from any repairs& part replacements that are not needed at this point. If the codes indicate a "electrical" malfunction we have to further inspect the wiring& plug connections and control module according to the correct wiring diagram. If the faults point to a "mechanical" issue we have inspect the VVT system (eccentric shaft) further. I'm sorry that you have to deal with this. I know it can be frustrating. Once you have the current fault codes at hand I can guide you in the right direction. If you have any further questions at this point let me know.
