Q: Blinking lights come on upon startup

asked by on

When I go to start my car, blinking lights with a green key symbol come on and the car won't start.

A: This signifies that there is a malfunction ...

This signifies that there is a malfunction with the security system. A scan tool will be needed to determine what fault codes are stored. Once the codes are retrieved this will give the mechanic a diagnostic path to follow to figure out the root cause of the problem. I would ask one of the mechanics at YourMechanic to run an inspection on your blinking lights issue.
