Q: Aux button on my radio

asked by on March 04, 2017

I recently just bought my 2006 Ford Escape and it has an aux button on the radio, but when I press it it says there is no aux input. There isn't a hole for an aux cord or bluetooth, So can I add an aux input into the radio even though there's input in it or do I have to buy a new radio

My car has 143000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

If the vehicle is equipped with an aux jack, it would be located in the center console bin, on the bottom towards the front. Later models have the jack located just in front of the shifter on the lower dash below the climate controls. If no aux jack is present, your local Ford dealer parts department may still be able to order an installation kit. If it is no longer available from Ford, a reputable stereo installation shop should be able to install one for you.

My car isn't staying charged after a jump, it lasts about two minutes before the engine dies. I'm wondering if it's the alternator.

How can someone tell if it's timing chain or something else that would cause the motor to freeze up? Thanks.
Remove the timing chain cover and see if the chain is intact. If the chain is broken, then either the chain can bind up on the crankshaft sprocket or the pistons can come in contact with the valves when they...
The code reader for my engine light says P0306P. What does the second P mean?
The P means powertrain. The second P is not normal and may just be the scanner you are using. This vehicle does not use the second letter P. I would disregard it. As far as the P0306 it indicates a...
