Hello, my name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I will be helping you with your question today. I've been working on Audis for over 30 years now, so I should be able to help you through this. Please understand that some of my suggestions may require special diagnostic tools and equipment that many home mechanics may not have, but are often required. So, my first question is whether you're planning on performing your own repairs, or are you wanting to be armed with information before bringing it into your mechanic? **Also, the site automatically prompts for a phone call. It's very rare that I'm available by phone, so let's hold off on that for now. If needed after we exchange some information, I will do my best to take the time for the call.** Couple of other questions: 1) when you say it won't start, is the starter cranking the engine over when you turn the key? 2) what scan tool are you using? 3) how many miles are on it? 4) did it quit while driving, or did you go to start it one day, and it just wouldn't start? Please be as detailed as possible with your responses, since those are the only way that I can be of further help. Thanks!

it starts and runs ocassionaly but after 2 minutes or so it diesA code reader that hooks to my smartphone180000I parked it and then it just didn't crank a few hours later

Ok, any chance I could get a VIN also? There's a part that you're going to need, but there is a VIN break mid-model year
Automotive Expert
Ok, attaching a picture of the part needed. Fuel pump control module. It's the computer module under the fuel pump access panel. Part numbers OE: 4F0 906 093H Pierburg: 7.07796.19.0 This should get you back to good.
Automotive Expert
Sorry, here's the picture attached

I changed control moduleexactly the same problem
Automotive Expert
Ok, you only mentioned that you replaced the fuel pump in your initial question

the entire set up
Automotive Expert
Ok, digging through the wiring diagram now

K it doesn't stumble when it cuts off if that helps at all
Automotive Expert
Ok, so it does run for a bit, which should eliminate Fuse 1 on the right side of the dash.

theres just nothing that ive noticed that makes it crank all the way just when it wants to
Automotive Expert
Ok, few moments please. Do you have a multimeter available?
Automotive Expert
Actually, here's what you need to do. I'll attach an instruction list PDF, and will post a part number for a relay that will need to be changed. It's up near the driver's side wiper spindle at the base of the windshield. Replace relay #2 and you should be good to go. I know the instructions I'm attaching pertain specifically to relay #3(ECM power supply), but the relay that powers the fuel pump module is relay #2 in the diagram.

4H0 951 253 Should have 614 printed on it. Again, position 2.

Ok ty
