Q: Air suspension not working

asked by on January 25, 2016

The dashboard says Airmatic Malfunction. The back right tire doesn't lift and the car looks lopsided. It also sounds like it is releasing air.

Hi there, with the Airmatic malfunction the car is telling you the tire pressure is low probably causing a flat tire. A nail or small leak would allow you to hear the tire releasing air. A qualified mechanic, like one from YourMechanic, can inspect the tire and system to figure out what is going.

Why is my Chevy 2004 Trailblazer losing power going up hills
Hello. You need to first have the cooling system pressure tested (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-to-pressure-test-a-radiator-cap-by-robert-kulp) to see if it can hold pressure or if the engine has a blown head gasket. This can cause the low power condition. There is a reason no...

Hello - you don't mention your year/make/model, which would be helpful. Most vehicles now use electronic sensors for the speedometer (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-to-replace-the-speedometer-sensor-on-most-cars-by-ty-thompson) function. Some of these sensors are in the transmission, some use the speed sensors in the wheel hub for...
