Q: A fuel line plug came out of the intake manifold will it be ok to get new seals and put it back , or should more be done.

Truck started running rough while at a stoplight and died. It started a few times but would die right away. Once I got it home I realized that when I would Turn it over gas was spraying out of the intake where the fuel lines connect. There are 2 holes one has a fuel line and the other a metal plug which had come out. I'm wondering what caused this or if you've heard of it before? And any advice you can give on where to go from here?
