Q: Window off track

asked by on

The driver's side window (power windows) is off the tracks.

The window glass moves up and down along the tracks by means of the window regulator and motor assembly. The window regulator holds the glass steady and firm and the motor provides the moving operation. A broken connection at the window regulator can allow for unwanted movement and allow the glass to come out of the track. Have an experienced technician, such as one from YourMechanic, remove the door panel and inspect the integrity of the window glass https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/window-motor-regulator-assembly-replacementit if needed.
