Do I have to buy the parts when a timing belt replacement is requested?

My car has 145000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hello and thanks for writing in. You do not have to buy the parts from YourMechanic and are welcome to provide your own parts, however if you decide to purchase the parts from YourMechanic, the parts will be an additional charge to the labor as would be the case at any automotive repair shop.
