What does the Door Ajar light mean on the dash?

Your car is equipped with a number of different sensors to help ensure that you and your passengers stay as safe as possible. The Door Ajar light on the dash turns on automatically when you crank the car, but should go out shortly afterward. It also turns on if any door on the car isn’t closed or isn’t closed completely. It also turns on if the trunk isn’t closed all the way. Verify that all doors are closed securely and that the trunk is shut, and the light will go off.

The statements expressed above are only for informational purposes and should be independently verified. Please see our terms of service for more details
