Smelling fuel, hesitating to start or starting after 2 cranks, rpm gauge and car jumps a little at start up....Runs/ performs perfect on the road!

I've been smelling the fuel for a month or so , but i'm concerned now about the starting issue. First thing in the morning it hesitates or sometimes wouldn't start at all on the first crank , or after leaving it for 30 mins-hours it does the same thing ! but recently i learned to let the fuel pump warm up before starting and it starts up normal ..sometimes

Serviced in October, had a misfire 2 weeks ago & changed my coils again , misfire started again a week ago and i changed one broken spark plug.

My car has 180000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hello there, the P0600 code (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/p0600-obd-ii-trouble-code-serial-communication-link-malfunction-by-spencer-clayton) is not one that is normally seen on your 2003 Mercedes ML350. The P0600 code tells us there is a communication link issue with the ECU. This may have been caused by the fuel...

This may be a sign of a failing voltage regulator or potentially a bad ground connection. As you may know, the voltage regulator regulates the charging of the battery by the alternator. When the voltage regulator is not working properly,...
Transmission not shifting into reverse.
Hi there. If all of the other gears work and only the reverse gear does not work, then there could be a bent shift fork or the reverse input gear has chewed up the teeth. It is very common for...
