Q: Shakes and idles hard.

asked by on September 23, 2017

Hello. I had a complete tune up in February, plugs everything. Recently had my throttle body replaced after it went out. Between then my car started to shake real bad at a stop, low idle, but stops when I put it in nuetral. Under the good it looks like my intake is shaking really bad. Some ac power loss and lower fuel economy. Then when I press the gas it sounds like I slammed my foot down on it. Still happening after I replaced the throttle body. No check engine light, no codes. I'm still under warranty but with no light nothing gets fixed. I'm stumped. Done a fuel treatment, up on oil changes and maintenance. Take care of it, so I'm lost

My car has 333726 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Injector stuck open
A faulty injector will need to be replaced, and the misfire faults cleared, in the engine computer. My recommendation is to have a mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic, replace the injector (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/fuel-injector-replacement), and clear the faults in the engine...
Slow acceleration and engine light on/off

Irregular revving
Is your Check Engine Light on? That may indicate that there is a diagnostic trouble code (dtc) stored. The code may help pinpoint which component requires further testing. Blown head gasket, how much it will cost to fix including parts and labor?

When coming to a stop i get a jerk on the drivers side.
If the jerking reaction is something related to pressing the brake pedal, this may suggest a faulty brake caliper. If your vehicle pulls to one side when you apply the brakes it typically means that you have a braking imbalance...
Problem of irregular idle anytime I apply the brakes, it quits Peugeot 307
Hi - from your description of symptoms, it sounds like the brake booster has an air leak (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-hydraulic-brake-booster), or possibly the hose to the brake booster has a leak. The brake booster uses engine vacuum for braking assist. If the...
I have an EPC problem on my 09 Audi A4. Any suggestions?
Hi there. The EPC (Electronic Power Control) light is just a way to tell you that there is a problem with the drive by wire system. The issue could be the throttle pedal position sensor not registering to the computer...
Rough idle, no power in low gears , hesitation and very poor gas mileage with p0300, p0420 and p0455 codes
Hi There, These codes are more than likely related to each other and causing the misfiring that is a result of code P0300. Code P0420 relates to the catalyst system being inefficient, which is usually the cause of a catalytic...
