Q: Seat will not move back and forth

asked by on

Seat will move in all ways except back and forth. What is wrong. There is no noise when I try

My car has 170000 miles.
My car has a manual transmission.

Hello. You would need to have the seat switch checked to see if it is bad or the seat’s bottom power frame has a defective motor that needs to be replaced. Only a complete check would be able to isolate the failure. If you need help with this, have a local expert diagnose the seat problem in order to have the appropriate repairs made.
