Remote control won't open my trunk, but I can use the button on the door. No key access. Everything else on the remote works fine with no issues. Wondering if I need a new battery for remote or a new remote.

My car has 84000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

it sounds like you may need to replace the battery in your remote key fob. This is very common when the batteries in the key fobs die. In some cases, the other possibility may be that the contacts inside the buttons on the key fob may be worn out, in which case the battery may not be the problem. When the contacts wear out, they do not transmit the signal properly to the car.

I have a 95 Jeep Wrangler 4 cylinder. It has been running awesome until the other day when I put it in reverse. Backed up and depresses the clutch and brake to stop to shift into first and park it. When I hit the brake the engine was definitely under a little load. You could feel it still trying to pull. I could not get it out of reverse. I shut it off and wiggled it for a little and it came right out and ran fine the rest of the night. Now it is happening more often. I’ll start it in first with clutch depressed and it pulls a little. Early tonight I checked the fluid in the transmission and it was full. I started in neutral and I could not get it to go into a gear at all! Shut it off and it would not go into a gear. Let it sit about 5 minutes and it went into a gear and ran fine.

Need car checked out before replacing transmission.

If the transmission is slipping you may simply have a low fluid level. I would recommend checking the fluid level as the first step. If the fluid level is low have the system topped off and see if anything changes....
