Q: Rear window not going back up

asked by on

The rear quarter window won't go back up, even though I can hear the engine working. I pulled it up by hand, but it is not fully closed.

Hi there. Most likely either the regulator or the window motor transmission is stripped. The faulty part will need to be replaced in either case. My advice would be to enlist the help of a mechanic, like one from YourMechanic, to inspect the window’s mechanism and replace any parts that are damaged.
