Q: My axle moves side to side with a hard knock, what could cause this?
While i am driveing, my car makes a hard knocking noice while my car is moving on the front passanger side. Upon further inspection i noticed my front axles were bad and replaced them both brand new. Now driving the car for several weeks now the noise is still there and the axle has almost a half inch free play and makes the same noise when i try to shift it. As it does when im driving. So i would like to know if there is something that needs to be replaced or should i look elsewhere? My tranny was rebuilt in the past 2 years.
