I help many customers, so sometimes my replies are delayed, I will respond once available. Hello, Lynn Are you going to attempt repairing it or is the plan to take the vehicle to a shop?

I'm not repairing vehicle. Either shop or mobile shop
Automotive Expert
Lynn, I suggest you refill the oil to the correct level then drive the vehicle to the shop. They are going to get the vehicle on arack and clean the area of all the oil. Then they will run or drive the vehicle till it leaks to find the source/origin. From your description, it's looking like an oil pan gasket or oil filter seal leaking. Thank you for seeking us for help, I hope I provided what was needed. Press reply if you need to follow up. If you liked my answer please let me know so I can mark your question complete. Moose

Just replaced the serpentine belt and noticed a loud squeaking and smoking
It sounds like your car is overheating, and perhaps the water pump has seized up, which could account for the squealing, the smoking, and the overheating. It's entirely possible that the water pump seized due to the belts being overtightened....

Cruise control shut off when I was traveling down the highway. Now it won't turn on.
Hi, thanks for writing in. In most cases, the issue you're describing is caused by a problem with either the cruise control brake switch (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-cruise-control-brake-release-switch) (on an automatic transmission like your Durango) or the cruise control switch on the steering...
Should I replace both front struts at the same time?
Hi there. I recommend replacing both struts for the front at the same time, as they have springs that control the ride height and also have shocks that control the tire-to-road contact. Plus, you will not have to worry about...
Hi I have a coolant leak only seems to have when I remove cap it comes from underneath
The explanation for the drip when the cap is removed is that the cap seals the system and doesn't allow the fluid to move. Think about it like this, when you put a straw in a drink, put your thumb...
