Q: Low pressure light coming on

asked by on

The low pressure light goes on and off. I changed the oil sensor, but the light keeps coming on.

The oil pressure light will come on if the pressure drops below about 15psi. If your engine is loosing oil pressure then the engine oil pump may need to be replaced. Have the oil pressure checked for proper pressure by a qualified mechanic, like one from YourMechanic, to determine if the oil pump or oil pressor sensor is malfunctioning.
