Q: Low engine pressure.

asked by on

My car has low engine pressure.

Your Volkswagen Passat is one of my favorite cars because it is turbo charged! Because it has this power booster, your turbo charged engine is a bit more finicky when it comes to running properly. It will need positive pressure from the turbo to operate properly. If it does not have this positive pressure, the engine will not run efficiently. The most common reason for this lack of power is a failed hose clamp or a broken charge pipe. Because it is difficult to view the charge pipes, it is best to turn to a certified mechanic to verify this concern because they can also verify that there is not a problem with the turbo mechanism itself.
