Crankshaft Position Sensor Replacement $120.83 - $900.50 Get a Quote

Hi There, As you know, code P0332 relates to the knock sensor, which may be a result of code P0306, which relates to the crankshaft position sensor. When the crankshaft position sensor is detected to have more than a 2 percent variance in terms of the reading of the crankshaft rotation, this code will be stored. As a result of the crankshaft position sensor potentially failing, this may also cause what is known as spark knock due to the misfiring nature of inconsistent ignition patterns. When this happens, the kock sensor code will be stored. I would suggest having a professional from YourMechanic come to your location to diagnose and inspect your vehicle.

What else can it be?
From what you've described, this sounds like potentially a power steering pump (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/power-steering-pump-replacement) issue since the noise increases with speed which indicates it may be something related to the speed of pulley components. I would check power steering fluid (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/power-steering-fluid-service)...
Pcm ecu car won't start
Assuming the ECM is still working enough to report problems, getting any problem codes out of the system with a code reader is your best clue at this point - whether the Check Engine Light (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/check-engine-light-is-on-inspection) is illuminated or not....
Car has a random misfire/jerking/hesitation only between 1200 and 1500 rpms, when it does misfire it does it 1 - 4 times
The dealer could well be correct on this - coils do go bad gradually sometimes, and "random misfire" is the common symptom. If the valve cover is leaking oil into the spark plug recess in the cylinder head, this can...
My car overheated while on the highway. I added coolant and let the engine rest and cool down. Now the car will not start. How can
Hi there: Unfortunately, there is no exact reason we can offer to you as to why the vehicle won't start now after your overheating issue; without first inspecting the vehicle. However, if the vehicle overheated on the highway there is...
Hello ben my car is making like a crack noise or some kind of noise everytime i turn and or accelerate. rattling coming from back
Hi Alex. Cracking noises are typically caused by metal to metal contact or a bushing that is pinching between metal components. On the front suspension, there are a few possible sources including steering stabilizer bar bushings, tie rod bushings, lower...
