My 08 Jeep Liberty is having heater issues. The blower and resistor was replaced, the fuse and relay switch was checked. It blows warm air but it turns off by itself. I Mechanic's Assistant: How many miles are on the Jeep? Has the Jeep been starting normally? Yes starts fine. 200k Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Liberty yourself? What have you tried so far? The motor blower fan, resistor, relay switch and fuse. No it’s been to the mechanic Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you? Yes. When the heater turns itself off it still blows just a little to defrost the window. And then when I restart the vehicle it’ll come back on. No bumps affect it. Idk y keeps shutting off

Hello there and thank you for contacting JustAnswer, sorry to hear about your car trouble, I’ll do my best to help you solve this issue, have you checked the blend door actuator?

I’m not sure if they did. Where is that located? Is it something I can check myself? Ty
Automotive Expert
It’s located behind the dashboard usually passenger side.

Ok I will look into that. Even if my air is blowing hott it could still be that?
Automotive Expert

Advice on how long conventional oil can last and how often to change it
You've got to realize that it depends on how you drive and where you drive. I personally change my oil in my own car every 3,000 miles because I don't drive that much. I don't even drive 3,000 miles a...
Annoying hissing metallic sound
The dealer is correct to say it is the brakes. The noise is mostly due to the material in the brake pads. The metal in the brake pads (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/what-are-brake-pads-made-of) can cause a scrapping noise, then changes with temperature and will...
My car is making a squealing sound when it cranks and when I turn on the A/C
Hi, thanks for writing in. What you're describing sounds a lot like an AC belt (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-ac-belt) that is loose or the serpentine belt on your alternator loose (or a combination of both). A common mistake that some mechanics make is...

Hello. I will help you with your question relative to the vibration problem you are experiencing with your 2007 Lexus ES350. If the vibration is occurring only during "moderate to strong" acceleration, but not during coasting, it is likely caused...
ticking only when in gear and i press accelerator
Hello, thank you for writing in. The ticking noise can be engine or exhaust related. Typically the transmission makes different types of noises when there is something wrong, so keep the transmission as being one of the last components you...
My car sounds like a motorcycle
At a quarter million miles, there are so many possibilities that I can hardly begin to speculate. But when you say your car sound like a motorcycle, I think you might have an exhaust leak. Perhaps some part of the...
2011 Camaro SS A6 trans. performed a tune then reset car back to stock. now trans shifts slower 2-3 in D but not in S sport mode
The learned, adaptive shift points have possibly been lost or modified. With enough time, they will re-set. However, if you remove power to the PCM and TCM (both are involved in adaptive shifting), new shift points will be learned and...
