I have a 2002 honda civic and I recently just put a new alternator and battery in the car. As I was driving home the abs light came on and, at the stop light the car just started loosing power and wouldn't start back up. I then tried to jump the car and it wouldn't start but as soon as I took the cables off the car again shut down. I'm just trying to figure out what the problem could be.

How do you transfer a phonebook to the hands-free system?
There are two ways to add phonebooks to the hands-free system in your car, and the method you use will depend on your phone (not on the car). If you have a phone that supports automatic phonebook transfers, the process...

The vehicle's engine may be starving for fuel. The fuel pressure would need to be checked to see if it is within specifications, and the fuel filter and pump may need to be replaced; a mechanic will be able to...
Get a code P0743, car has a very slow pick up from stop position.

I purchased a flood damaged car and replaced the engine and on the computer it's saying system running lean. What does that mean?
Hi there. When the computer says that the bank 1 or bank 2 is lean, it is referring that the cylinders do not have enough fuel to burn. Check the injectors (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/fuel-injector-replacement) and see if they are plugged up. Look...
Exhaust leak from engine gasket right after catalytic converter keeps blowing out. What needs changing O2 sensor or converter ? 2000 Chevrolet S10
Hello - I suspect that either the flange joint after the converter has a defect (https://www.yourmechanic.com/question/-i-have-replaced-my-exhaust-manifold-a-half-dozen-times-why-is-this-happening-by-stephen-k) that continues to leak, despite new gaskets, or the muffler is stopped up, increasing exhaust pressure on that joint. I recommend an exhaust system...
oil drain plug
You would use a bolt-out spiral fluted socket. A common example of this tool is the Craftsman 10 pc. Damaged Bolt/Nut Remover Set Low Profile Bolt-Out (Item # 00952166000P Model # 52166). However, Irwin makes a set as well and...
Knock sensor 2009 Pontiac G3
Hi there - the knock sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/is-it-safe-to-drive-with-a-faulty-knock-sensor) on this engine is under the intake manifold, just behind the power steering pump, and is best seen and accessed from underneath the car. For assistance with a replacement, have a knock sensor...
