Q: I have a 1999 expedition,how many catalytic converters would it have?

asked by on December 17, 2017

I took it to a mechanic & they said it needed two catalytic converters.

My car has 3022488 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Since this vehicle has a v-shaped engine, there would be two Banks of exhaust. Typically for each Bank of exhaust there is one catalytic converter. Therefore there should be two catalytic converters total on the entire vehicle.
