Hello and welcome to JustAnswer, my name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I have over 22 years of experience in this field. I'm so sorry for your inconvenience and hopefully, I can help. On these vehicles, the accelerator is controlled by a wireless system, that most likely has failed and would need either replacing or reprogramming. This service should be covered under the factory warranty. You can try disconnecting the negative battery terminal for 30 minutes and reinstall the terminal and see if it accelerates. Even if it works I still recommend taking it to the dealer afterward.

Would that theoretically help the engine start again?
Automotive Expert
Hopefully, yes it should reboot the system unless is completely burnt. In that case, you would need to contact your nearest Hyundai dealer and have it towed.

Okay thank you
Automotive Expert
You are very welcome and good luck.

Starting malfunction and rough idling
The two codes only mean the engine is not staying running above 500 RPMs for longer than 5 seconds without stalling and the ignition was not turned off. After looking at the pinpoint tests for both of these codes, I...
Transmission fluid comes up out of the transmission vent tube attached to the transmission dipstick tube
Hi there. Fluid seepage out of the vent tube can sometimes be normal, but can also be caused by overfilling. Has a service been performed recently? Perform a fluid level and condition inspection (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-to-check-and-add-fluid-to-an-automatic-transmission) by having the engine at idle,...
my car cannot move even on drive or reverse. it is not responding to gears
Hi there. It sounds like there could be a serious transmission issue at hand. However, there are a few other possibilities: a broken shifter cable or switch assembly. Does the gear indicator change when the shifter is moved? If not,...
I was told I needed a tune up got the spark plugs and the coil pack but it still misfire.
Engine misfires can be caused by many different problems and are generally caused by either a spark or fuel issue or in some cases, a combination of both. Spark related problems generally will result from things like ignition coils, crankshaft...
I have a leak between engine and transmission.
It is possible you have a leak either at the engine rear main seal or a front seal on the transmission. It may be difficult to tell the difference between used engine oil and used gear oil in this area...
Where is the fuel pressure regulator located at on a 2009 Ford explorer and what does it look like
Hi there. On the Ford V6-4.0 liter engine, it's commonly referred to as the fuel rail pressure sensor. You might want to watch this video to learn (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=un3H7UU2KAw) where it's located and how to replace it.
