How do you open the trunk with the remote?

You can open the trunk easily just be getting close if you have the Intelligent Key in your pocket, but you can also use the remote to open the trunk lid from a distance if you want. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Make sure you’re no more than 33 feet from the car.

  2. Press and hold the trunk button.

  3. The trunk should unlock.

Tips

  • If the ignition is on, the trunk cannot be opened with the remote.

  • The trunk will not open if the trunk cancel switch is flipped on the remote.
