How do I disarm the security alarm?

A: The security alarm is automatically set whe...

The security alarm is automatically set when you lock your vehicle using your remote keyless entry (RKE) key fob. When this happens, your car’s alarm will go off if someone tries to enter your vehicle without the RKE. Sometimes, however, this can happen when you are in the vehicle, and the alarm will be triggered when you try to exit. If this happens, you can disarm the security alarm by unlocking the door with the RKE transmitter or inserting the programmed RKE into the ignition switch.
