Q: Flat tires--pros and cons

asked by on May 17, 2016

Run flat tires--good or not?

To some extent, it’s good because you can drive different ways on them, but that’s only around 50 miles or something. But, if you consider the cost, if you have to get the flat fixed when they go bad, they cost 100-something bucks at most places to fix them. My neighbor [ran flats](https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/is-it-possible-to-repair-a-flat-tire0 on a Mini. She gave up and bought regular tires. She had so many problems with the flats. I really don’t think they have the technology down pat on those things.
