Q: door locks not working

asked by on

my car is not locking even manually
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hi there. The power door lock system is a relatively simple system. When you press the lock or unlock button (located on your key, or inside your vehicle), the power door lock sends a relay signal to the power door lock actuator. The actuator, through a series of gears, locks or unlocks the door or doors that you are controlling. One of or multiple components listed here could be damaged, which is causing the locks to not function. In order to determine specifically what needs to be fixed, you should have a professional mobile mechanic come to your location to complete a power door locks are not working inspection.
