Q: Does a Ford Explorer four-wheel drive 6-cylinder engine differ from that of a two-wheel drive?

asked by on September 13, 2017

my engine is giving me problems. Has misfire in cylinders 2,5,6. i check compression some are 145 some are 90. So i dont want to deal with it and found a donor engine from the same year make and model. the only thing is the donor car is a 4x4. if it was a straight engine swap would it be compatible? Or will i have to chage stuff? Im not intrested into converting into a 4x4. i just need an engine.
My car has an automatic transmission.
