Hello Jay. Nice to hear from you today! I'm sorry to hear you are having this problem. I know this can be frustrating. I may not be online tonight so if you do respond this evening and I do not respond right away, I will receive your message and post back here as soon as I can. When the heater stops blowing air is there no airflow at all or is there airflow but no heat?
Automotive Expert
Without knowing all of the information like the vehicle history, the components that have been tested or replaced, and the results of any tests that need to be run, I can only give you a general answer to your question. If you have airflow from the vents or heater with this issue but no heat intermittently and since you were able to flush out the cooling system and it worked temporarily, this can indicate that the heater core itself is plugged up inside the heater box. This can be a common component to plug up and can cause this issue to where it has to be replaced. The cost to have it replaced in some cases can cost over $400 total parts and labor.
