Hello and welcome to Just Answer. I'm Paul, And happy to help you with your question today.
most often when the battery light comes on and battery goes dead this is a problem with the [Alternator](/topics-alternator-dodge/) not charging the battery.
you need to have the alternator tested and if faulty replace it.
you can also have the battery recharged and tested if the Alternator comes back bad.
