My car has a coolant leak
Hello. The most common cause of a random coolant loss on this vehicle is a leaking intake manifold gasket (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-intake-manifold-gaskets). It commonly starts leaking coolant into the engine, which will be burnt off or will leak externally. I typically do...
Misfire cylinder2 when engine cold engine
Check the spark plug (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/spark-plugs-replacement), ignition coil (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/ignition-coil-replacement), and fuel injector (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/fuel-injector-replacement) for proper spray pattern. If all are good, then it may be a wiring issue or possibly carbon build-up on the intake valves effecting the fuel mixture. If...
When turned to the "On" position, there is a clicking noise as if there's a dead battery.
Hello and thank you for contacting YourMechanic. Check the connections from the ignition switch to the starter. Clutch pedal stays on the floor.
Hi there. Assuming, you followed proper procedure bleeding the replacement clutch slave cylinder. I recommend having...

If the idle air control valve is stuck closed and/or the intake air charge is insufficient, the vehicle should...

How do I know if my brakes have spread fingers or not when I replace the calipers, rotors and pads?
Hi there. The best way to ensure you purchase the right parts is to first contact a Cadillac dealership parts department for an estimate. By giving them your VIN number, they'll be able to research this and provide you with...
My 2011 Ram 1500 Hemi randomly stalls while coming to a stop, and/or while in a slow turn.
Hi There, It sounds like you may have a dirty or failing idle air control valve causing your engine idle to fluctuate. The idle air control valve (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/idle-control-valve-replacement) is a small valve on the engine's intake system that reads the...
Wheel bearing replacement
The front wheel bearings would need to be replaced with the front hub assembly unless you have the very specialized puller and press tools to remove and install the bearings. It is recommended to replace hub and bearing as an...
