Q: Disconnected battery cables to clean terminals and reconnected and now power assist not working.
I disconnected my battery cables to clean terminals and reconnected. I started the car and backed out my driveway and the brakes are not working properly. I have to press down hard to get the car to stop. The power assist is not working. Does the disconnecting the battery control the brake system?
