asked by on January 11, 2016

I have a misfire on the 1 and 5 cylinders.

Ignition Coil Replacement $132.12 - $587.62 Get a Quote
Engine is misfiring Inspection $94.99 - $114.99 Get a Quote
Spark Plugs Replacement $113.11 - $716.47 Get a Quote

I would enlist the help of a YourMechanic technician to help you resolve this issue. Ask the technician to swap the 1 and 5 ignition coils to other cylinders such as 2 and 6. If either of your misfires moves to cylinder 2 or 6, that ignition coil is bad. If the misfires stay in the same location, the spark plug or wiring to the ignition coil may have an issue. Ensure that the technician also inspects the spark plugs in the misfiring cylinders. If they are found to be fouled, it is a good practice to have all eight spark plugs replaced at the same time.
