Q: Q: crankshaft position sensor problem

my crankshaft went out. my store has it but not the same that my jeep carries. mines a butterfly type with two bolts and theres is only a one bolt and not butterfly type. will it still work if i use the one they have?

My car has 200000 miles.
My car's transmission is unknown to me.

Your Jeep requires the 2 bolt mounted sensor. The sensor operates with a certain air gap position and is designed for the engine and transmission set-up. Here is a good article on how to buy a good quality crankshaft position sensor.
