Q: Copy a key 2004 Volkswagon Toureg

asked by on March 06, 2017

Hello, I need to get a duplicate key made and programmed. Can anyone recommend a particular business or dealership in the DC/MD area?
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hi there. There are two good VW dealerships in the Baltimore area I’m familiar with - (Heritage VW) one in Catonsville and one in Parkville that I’d recommend. I would first contact their service department to ensure they can provide this service for you. You’ll need to have your vehicle’s VIN # ready when they speak to you, so make sure you have your registration or insurance information handy when you call.

Hi there. The two codes you've listed might indicate different problems than you've been told are the root source. The P0171 code means that, on the first bank of the engine, the fuel system is running weak or a vacuum...

My engine makes whirring sound when I start the car and turn the wheel but stops once the engine warms up.

Hi Shane. In some cases, after replacing suspension components will cause some play in the steering. This usually is due to either parts that were replaced being loose, bushings being too small or while aligned, something else was left loose....

Fail safe mode

Hi there. When a car runs out of gasoline, it can cause serious damage to the fuel pump and other fuel system components. If you're able to start your car but it quickly dies, it is likely that the fuel...

Car engine makes hissing sound when driving and bogs down when idling. 2004 Nissan Maxima

Hi there - you are on the right track. If the hiss comes more directly from the engine (with the hood up for example), you probably have an air leak in the intake tract of the engine. If the hissing...
