My truck is running rough do to my service traction control and stable track light being on insane has a misfire on cylinder one I changed the fuel injector and [spark plugs](/topics-spark-plug-chevy/) and no results Mechanic's Assistant: How many miles are on the Chevrolet? When did you last change the plugs? 190000 miles and yesterday Mechanic's Assistant: What year is your Spark? My truck is a 08 chevy suburban Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Spark yourself? What have you tried so far? I have changed the brake light switch fuel injector spark plugs and clean throttle body Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you? I need help to know what's going on with my stabilized track and traction control light making my truck run rough

Hello and thank you for choosing JustAnswer. Sorry to hear you are having this problem with the suburban. My name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I will do all I can to assist with this issue. You may receive an Automated prompt for a phone call.. There is an additional fee for the call and is NOT required. Continuing with the Chat is my Preferred method. The **ABS Control Modul** e on your Suburban works in conjunction with the **[Engine](/topics-engine-chevy/) Control Module** to help prevent wheel slip when **Braking** , **Cornering** and **Accelerating**. This safety feature is called "Stabilitrak" The Stabilitrak warning light can come on if there is a fault in the ABS Module, ECM or any of the related sensors. It is unlikely that the Stabilitrak warning light is causing the vehicle to run rough. You will need a scanner capable of communicating with the Anti-lock Brake Control Module to retrieve the stored "CXXXX" codes. If you are able to obtain these codes and can provide the VIN number for the Suburban, I can provide the factory diagnostic steps. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions. Note: If I don’t immediately respond, I kindly ask for your patience, I will reply as soon as possible. Thank you for choosing JustAnswer. 100% Customer Satisfaction is my goal. Give me just a sec. A misfire on one cylinder has many possible causes. Rather than just replacing parts, you need to diagnose the problem. Use a spark tester to confirm the [Ignition Coil](/topics-ignition-coil-chevy/) is producing sufficient spark at the plug. Use a noid light to ensure the ECM is providing injector pulse. Perform a compression test to check for any engine mechanical problems (Valves, Rings ect.) **P0301** **Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected** _- Manual and Automatic Transmission_ **Possible Causes** - Check for air leaks in the Air Induction system (e.g., in the intake manifold) - Base engine mechanical fault that affects only one cylinder - Fuel delivery component problem that affects only one cylinder (e.g., a contaminated, dirty or sticking fuel injector) - Ignition system fault (coil or plug) that affects only one cylinder - Check for air leaks in the EGR system and in its related hoses and/or valve - Check for air leaks in the PCV system and in its related hoses and/or valve

Ever since my service traction control stabilize track light come on my truck started running rough iv tried most of those thing and no good results iv changed fuel injectors and spark plugs and cleaned my throttle bodymy coil packs are working correctly

There are still many possibilities: Have you used a noid light to ensure the ECM is pulsing injector #1? Have you used a fuel pressure gauge to ensure accurate fuel pressure at the rail? Have you checked compression to ensure there is not a problem with the valves on cylinder #1? The stabilitrak light can come on simply due to a misfire or because there is a fault in the ABS. Pulling the code from the ABS module is the only way to know if it is related to the misfire or not. What OBD2 codes are stored in the Engine Control Module?

Only code it's saying is P0301

What size engine in the 2008 Suburban?

5.3VortecIt has good compression on cylinder oneAll this started my truck running rough when the service traction control and stabilized track come on

As I stated previously - the Stabilitrak light will often come on if there is a fault in the Engine Control Module. The ABS module and the ECM are in constant communication, and a fault in one can cause a fault in the other. Retrieving the stored code in the ABS module is the only way to know if the two are related. **(I have attached a document(s) to this thread. Note: Document links will automatically delete after 7 days** There is a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) for P0301(mechanical issues) on the 5.3 (See attached document - if using a mobile device, see above) [https://www.dropbox.com/s/5qg32qj5cphft3f/Suburban%20TSB.pdf?dl=0](https://www.dropbox.com/s/5qg32qj5cphft3f/Suburban%20TSB.pdf?dl=0) 1. Lift the valve cover. 2. Start the engine, check for rocker arm movement on the valves for cylinder #1. 3. If one of the rocker arms is not moving, replace the corresponding lifter. 4. If both rocker arms are not moving, it is possible the solenoid in the Valve Lifter Oil Manifold (VLOM) Assembly may be stuck open. 5. When apart (cylinder heads removed), inspect the Valve Lifter Guide for cracks and [camshaft](/topics-camshaft-chevy/) lobe wear. Reinsert the lifters into the Valve Lifter Guide. Attempt to rotate the lifters in the guide while looking for a crack in the guide.
