The mileage is about 64,400. To me it sounds like it's coming from the engine. And I'm sure of the code exactly but when I took it to autozone they said I mostly likely need to replace the thermostat housing but that's not what's causing the noise or stall.

ok thank you for info the thermostat will not caudse the idle problem correct at 64k I would want to check plugs and coils and service the transmssion This sound more of transmssion issue where it is gear down and up interminelty and causing the idle or stall or cut off issue the Auto zone code reader Can not read the TCM transsmion module fault code ,yu need a more capable scanner to read them like chevy dealer or repair shop that has chevy specfic scanner and based on them pull up a pin point troubleshoot and have them checl all vacum lines for leaks ,should be next step

I had the transmssion replaced about 4 or 5 months ago. So it's crazy that this could be the reason again

was it rebuilt or used the transmission ? did they give you warranty or was it only 90 days ? If they did not flush the system and installed another one , the small metal shavings in the lines ,that they did not clean will ruin new or rebuilt transmssion or if it was used ,not uncommon that failed few month later . Take it back and have them check trans again

Im pretty sure it was rebuilt. I was given a 90 day warranty but that time period is up.

I figured so,unfortunatley you have to have the transmssion checked again My experience The rebuild trans give 6 month or 6000 miles the 90 days usualy for used ones but possible only gave you 90 days on rebuilt i can not be sure i m sorry but that it what it sound like ,trans issue
