If you say there is an "alarming" sound when it starts, then I would only suggest you have a proper diagnosis done. By doing so you’ll be able to find the cause before you try and run it any more. This needs to be done to prevent further damage to the engine. You may have internal engine damage or a bad crankshaft damper. A diagnosis will find which one is the cause. Feel free to contact a certified mechanic who can perform a diagnostic of your starting issue and fix it accurately.

ABS light on and Error 55 code , and clunking when turning wheel 2006 Subaru Legacy

Hello the "Error 55" usually indicates a failed wheel speed sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-wheel-speed-sensor) (or dirt or corrosion preventing one of them from reading correctly). This failure is probably what is turning on your ABS warning, and prevents cruise control from working...

My 2010 Honda Fit Sport keeps showing a decrease in oil but no oil leak. Last week it was at 15 percent and now its at 10 percent.

The values that you are referring to, 10%, 15%, etc, do not represent the level or amount of oil in the engine. The oil level in your vehicle can only be checked using the engine oil dipstick under the hood....

Transmissions cannot lose power simply because they do not generate or create any power. All a transmission on a car does is transfer power developed by the engine to the wheels. If the transmission is intermittently going into what is...
