Q: Car will start but cannot put it in drive it stalls. The engine light is on. When I give it gas everything flickers

My car will not start it clicks and does not turn. When I jump it has been working till now. Now when I jump the car and tth to put it in drive it stalls. When I give it gas the radio clicks off then back on the head lights flicker and all the lights (battery rain light steering wheel light) comes on then back off but the car continues to run.

My car has 78899 miles.
My car's transmission is unknown to me.
