After driving on the interstate for an hour the motor died when i pulled ofc the off ramp. Felt like to gas was getting to the motor. I will try to help you on this here You need to test the fuel pump pressure and check the spark when it dies is the correct way to know you lost either fuel or spark when it died, the 45 min wait , made fuel pump get colder and started working again or the CKP sensor ( crankshaft position sensor got hot and stopped sending timing signal to computer and computer shut off the engine what is the mileage on it now? original fuel pump? any check engine light on prior and if there was , did you scan it for codes? what are they if any ? **Please Let Me Know** **Thank You** **Chad Farhat** **ASE Certified Technician**

Milage 35,830. I just purchased from a private party in october so i dont know what parts are originalit had check engine, and diagnosed as a misfire. But dont know the codes, will see if i can find that

try to scan it and get me teh fault codes and i can send you teh correct troiubleshoot that is low mileage on it 35k for 2003 at that low miles i doubt it is spark issue , it has to fuel pump or fuel pump relay getting hot I woud replace fuel filter on it even at 35k since we do have 17 years of time Please click on the link to view the opdf file and the fuse box label ,fuel filter anf fuel pump RR please look for relay #12 ,fuel pump relay, let me know if you can view the pdf file and we continue

I can view the pdf's but i cannot find what the codes were. You think its likely the fuel pump needs to be replaced??

ok thank you for info P0300 is the main fault causing the rest of the fault codes, P0300( Random multiple misfires) , but the P0420 could be a separate fault you have to fix the P300 and clear fault codes and see what comes back, that is catalytic converter flow fault P0420 , if this vehicle been driven prior with a misfire and the check engine light was flashing and driven for like 10 miles plus ( possible catalytic damage could have been ) then after repairing the misfire ,you will still need to replace the catalytic converter if P0420 came back by itself Please click on the link to view the step bu step troubleshoot for DTC P0300 P0300 is most common for Fuel injector issue, either wiring between injectors and ECM or Fuel injectors themselves one or more or ECM Connectors pins and or intake manifold vacuum leaks are most common for P0300 but testing is needed, the testing steps require special tools
