I drive a 95 Buick Park Avenue and I was changing out the oil pan when I lost all my coolant in my reservoir tank now I have coolant in the radiator fill it up to the cap Mechanic's Assistant: Have you ever replaced the gaskets? Maybe the hoses? I'm not finding any leaks anywhere Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Park Avenue yourself? What have you tried so far? Yes I'm fixing myself. I have only worked on the oil pan gasket replacing that then I noticed that most of my coolant has drained out after I jack the car up from the front also while the car was up during the night it lost more coolant but hasn't leaked that I seen... I took my radiator cap off and there's coolant sitting at the top of the cap Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you? I dont think so

Was the hose that goes to the tank attached to the radiator?

the hose is attachedthe hose is kind of squishydoes connect to radiator
Automotive Expert
ok so there must be a leak in the tank or hose then, more than likley just a cracked tank

Like there is still coolant in the reservoir tank towards the bottom and I cant find any on the ground
Automotive Expert
refill the tank and monitor it over the next few days and see what happens

Do you think when I jacked up the car and it leaked out of a crack in the tank
Automotive Expert
it sounds like it, but there should be some on ground somewhere so best thing is to fill and monitor

This leaked an 1 1/2" over night
Automotive Expert
I understand, if you dont see it then it wont be able to be tracked, so fill again and monitor the next few days

Would it still be okay to drive there is a bunch of coolant in the radiator but it is starting to get cold like in the 30sThe most driving I do is 20 days 30 minutes twice a day
Automotive Expert
yes fill and drive and monitor check often and record levels

20 to 30 mins a day 2 times a day lol ok then could it be a blown head gasket?
Automotive Expert
if it was blown that bad to loose that much it wouldnt run for more than 5 mins

Soo its either a crack in the reservoir tank, the hose going to the radiator,What about the 2 coolant lines from the radiator to the case?
Automotive Expert
that wouldnt effect the reservoir

I dont think the radiator is bad it's got coolant sitting at the top of itOoo ok soo pretty much it's the tank or hose leading to radiator
Automotive Expert
correct, just fill and monitor it and see what happens

Ok thank you soo much
Automotive Expert
your very welcome

my car doesnt want to accelerate . the rpm stays the same it slowsly goes up to 30 not past it.
