Q: Car cannot pass inspection

asked by on

My car will not pass an inspection due to emissions.

It is hard to say what the issue is exactly without knowing what Diagnostic Trouble Codes or DTC’s are present in your vehicles engine computer. A DTC is an automatic fail in most states, if there are no DTC’s the issue could be readiness monitors. Readiness monitors basically prove that the vehicle has been driven with out failure for a designated amount of time. This is to prevent someone from simply clearing codes just before inspection without actually making necessary repairs. Have a trained technician scan the engine computer and complete a comprehensive inspection of your vehicle in order to have the repairs needed for passing the emission’s test.
