I have a 2009 Lincon Town Car that has 132000 mi. on it. It sat in driveway for 3 years. I decided to start driving it again it is in excellent condition. I had brand new tires put on, oil changed with STP. Coolant added, not much, and everything else checked. I drove it 60 miles round trip with no problem. Put $20.00 unleaded gas which brought up to a half tank. I get 28 miles per gallon. On the way home my steering wheel started vibrating at 60mph. Some lights came on on dashboard 1 shaped like a car with skids under it, than one shaped like a I needed to change oil which I had just done. When I pulled in driveway shut off car it continued to run. I opened hood there is a little square hard steel shaped box centered in front of steering wheel with 4 or 5 steel lines running from it and all were extremely hot. The car ran for 30 minutes than stopped. I am very perplexed. Female 45 and know nothing about engines. But I love Baby! She is the best car I ever owned! The reason we quit driving her because of the gas mileage. But my boyfriend had a stroke and I had an Dodge Avenger I hated! I could please use som RSS help. Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the fuses? The dashboard bulbs? I don't know how. But I have all the original books. This sounds so cliche' but very true! I bought the car from a man that was the original owner. It was his wife's and when she passed it was inside his closed garage. I bought it in 2015 drove it to Florida, Georgia, and West Virginia back to Louisiana. It only had 37.000 miles on it when I bought it. I put the rest of the mileage on it . I guess I need to start learning how to fix it. So I will go out tomorrow and do what you said, or die trying! She is all I have! Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Town Car yourself? What have you tried so far? Changed Oil, New Tires, added just a bit of freon, Transmission Fluid perfect, very clear. That is all. Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you? Just cannot get car to quit running when I shut off. NO PINGING! Just keeps running. Steering wheel shaking when I hit 60mph. THANK you.

How are you this is Bill from just answers the car steering wheel does not shake at 55, just at 60 miles an hour, did you try to see if it shakes at 65 or 70 miles an hour? It very well could be a tire balancing problem. As far as the car not shutting off possibly he broke in the ignition switch possibly. How do you shut off the car now? Do you pull an ignition fuse? And the box that gets hot with the lines please explain that to me. Also it seems like you have a traction control problem that is what the line all squiggly with the car mean on the dash

shakes worse at 65 than kind of stops afterwards but do not want a ticket. No I just turn the car off with my key. I opened the hood centered about 30 inches in front of steering wheel is a steel square like box shaped like a large box of matches below to center of engine running from the box are 4 or 5 steel lines headed back towards center of car into a larger like oval looking steel round thing all is EXTREMELY HOT! I turned car back on and off but still would not shut down . Finally stopped after about 20vminutes.No my boyfriend just found out I'm trying to get help. He has had a stroke. I cannot reason with him! I apologize. I'm going to have to Cancel. Thank ya'll for your help so much. Stay Safe! Thank you, \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\*

Your ABS and traction control pump assembly is working overtime and that is why your brake lines are getting hot. That is what I’m understanding from this. The car will need to be scanned by a garage to get through the code for the ABS and traction control. Also I believe you need your front wheels spin balancedMaybe the garage that does the codes and the scanning Can also balance your front wheels or should I say re-balance them. Thank you for using just answers

Thank you.
