Q: Can a faulty a/c cause the feeling of a misfire?

asked by on March 06, 2018

Using the Rough Idle Inspection through your mechanic, I have recently done a lot of repairs to my vehicle after I was told it was misfiring. I have had spark plugs, spark plug switches, engine coils, drive belts, oil and transmission fluid changed, but my vehicle still jerks or stumbles in idle. I have noticed that when the A/C is on it happens more frequently. Is this a significant coincidence or should I consider this as genuine? Also during quick acceleration it feels like the engine has a delay a few times before it gets going. Thanks for the assistance.

My car has 191000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
