Q: Broken lever to let my backseats down

How can I let my backseats down when my lever is broken

My car has 200000 miles.

Hello, thank you for writing in. The plastic lever that you have access to is simply a handle for the mechanism inside that releases the seat. You have to manually release that mechanism with another tool, depending on what you have accessible to you. Obtaining a diagram will help tremendously. You may also want to attempt to install a new lever. Assuming the old one came off whole, you can unscrew its retaining screw, and install the new handle in its place. If the releasing mechanism is broken itself, more rigorous repairs need to be made, which involve removing the seat entirely.
