Q: Air compressor

asked by on

Will a failed air compressor cause future problems with my car

My car has 216000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hello. The only future problem you will have is no A/C will not allow the defroster for the windshield to remove moisture from the air to clear the windshield of fog. As long as the belt is able to rotate on the pulley you should not have any other problem. If you are looking to repair this, a certified technician from YourMechanic can come to your car’s location to replace the AC compressor for you.
