How do I disable the passenger side air bag?

My car has 940000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hi there. Airbags are safety features for every vehicle, however, when having a child of 12 years of age and under including infants are required to have the airbag disabled to prevent injury. Check to see if there is a key insert to turn off the airbag. The switch will be labeled ’ON’ and ’OFF’. The switch should have a key turning horizontal to disable the airbag and vertical to enable the airbag. I recommend seeking out a professional, such as one from Your Mechanic, to help you if you are unable to turn off the passenger airbag.
