Q: Accelerator petal is not doing anything but reverse is fine.
Every once and a while my car stalls, the engine still running and reverse working fine. But when I step on the accelerator petal, it fails to go forward. I was thinking this might be a failing Throttle Position Sensor but wouldn’t that effect reversing as well? I had this car taken to my local mechanic for this issue but the problem keeps coming back. I wanted to get a more professional opinion on this. Please get back to me ASAP. I’m stuck in some random town right now.
P.S. when I leave the car off with no power running through it (no lights, etc.) and start it up again 5-20 minutes later, it seems to run fine.
