Q: 2000 honda civic dx. Creaks when turning the wheel. Sounds like metal on metal rubbing together

I have 2000 Honda civic with 310,000 miles on it. When u turn to wheel slowly it creaks very loudly. It sounds like metal on metal like maybe the ball joints need lube or even replacement. Suspension feels good and no leaking going on around the joints or springs. What could this be
