Q: Flat spots and stuter at low speed and smelling petrol

asked by on

What can be the problem it sometines with startup white smoke then stops if i rev the car up the flatspots dissapear

My car has 235709 miles.
My car has a manual transmission.

Hi there. White smoke is sometimes an indication of coolant finding it’s way into the oil inside the motor. This can be caused by a blown head gasket or shortly after experiencing an overheating issue. It can also be caused by an over rich fuel situation; in most cases due to a fault with the idle control valve, mass air flow sensor or other fuel system component.
